Ordinary Miracle - Sarah McLachlan

It's not that unusual
When everything is beautiful
It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when it's time to snow
Don't need to teach a seed to grow
It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift, they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up, and find a way
To give some of your own

Isn't it remarkable?
Like everytime a raindrop falls
It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

The birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

When you wake up everyday
Please don't throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
'Cause we are all a part

Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle

Do you want to see a miracle

It seems so exceptional
That things work out after all
It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

The sun comes out and shines so bright
And disappears again at night
It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

It's just another
Ordinary miracle today

Fox

Magic, Shapeshifting, Invisibility

Fox are seen as totems throughout the world:
the Chinese believed they could take human form,
in Egypt the fox brought favor from the gods,
there was a fox god in Peru,
foxes help the dead get to the next life in Persia,
Cherokees, Hopi other American Indian tribes
believed in its healing power;
the Apache credited the fox with giving man fire.

Since the fox lives "between times" --
on the edge of land, visible as dusk and dawn, and can guide the way to the Faerie Realm.

A fox can teach you to control your aura so that you can be more in harmony
with others and the world.

If you have a fox totem, learning to be invisible is very important in your life.
Imagine yourself blending in with your surroundings, becoming part of the background.
Be very still and quiet.
Through practice you can be unnoticed even at a party or in a crowd.

I have an acquaintance who used this power to evade several muggers;
he stood there in plain sight next to a building ,
and blended himself into the wall;
they did not see him and left without harming him. It can be done!

A fox totem also teaches good eating habits;
the fox eats small amounts frequently which medicine is now telling us is better for our health.
But fox people already knew this.

The fox is a wonderful totem to have.

Ain't No Rest For The Wicked - Cage the Elephant

I was walking down the street,When out the corner of my eyeI saw a pretty little thing approaching me.She said "I've never seen a manWho looks so all alone,Could you use a little company? If you pay the right priceYour evening will be nice,And you can go and send me on my way."I said "You're such a sweet young thingWhy you do this to yourself?"She looked at me and this is what she said,"Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked,Money don't grow on trees.I got bills to pay,I got mouths to feed,There ain't nothing in this world for free.I know I can't slow down,I can't hold back,Though you know, I wish I could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked,Until we close our eyes for good".Not even fifteen minutes laterI'm still walking down the street,When I saw a shadow of a man creep out of sight. Then he walks up from behindAnd puts a gun up to my head,He made it clear he wasn't looking for a fight. He said "Give me all you've gotI want your money not your life,But if you try to make a move I won't think twice."I said "You can have my cashBut first you know I got to askWhat made you want to live this kind of life?"He said "There ain't no rest for the wicked,Money don't grow on trees.I got bills to pay,I got mouths to feed,There ain't nothing in this world for free.I know I can't slow down,I can't hold back,Though you know, I wish I could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked,Until we close our eyes for good".Now a couple hours passedAnd I was sitting at my house,The day was winding down and coming to an end.So I turned on the TVAnd flipped it over to the news,And what I saw I almost couldn't comprehend.I saw a preacher man in cuffs he'd taken money from the church,He's got this bank account with righteous dollar bills. But even still I can't say muchBecause I know we're all the same,Oh yes we've all got to satisfy those thrills."Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked,Money don't grow on trees. We got bills to pay,We got mouths to feed,There ain't nothing in this world for free.I know we can't slow down,We can't hold back,Though you know, we wish we could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked,Until we close our eyes for good"

Moon river wider than a mile

Waiting round the band

Viens-tu danser?

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”- Steve Jobs

Bes VS Wasp

Bee

It's time to get organized and get to work on that idea that you want to implement and develop.
Approach your projects with commitment, diligence, and dedication, and you'll succeed beyond your wildest expectations.
Involve several others in a cooperative and life-affirming venture, one in which everyone who participates will benefit -- and if possible,
one that includes the entire community.
Take the time to appreciate and enjoy the sweetness of life.
This is a very fertile time for you physically and creatively, one where you bring your ideas into fruition.
This is a very productive cycle for you, so stay with whatever you're working on, and there will be a favorable outcome.

Wasp

Whatever task is before you, jump in and go for it with enthusiasm and determination.
Consider making a study of sacred geometry and how it applies to your life.
For the next few weeks, focus on fulfilling your responsiblities and personal obligations.
Break out of your routine and do something that's adventurous, unusual, and completly different from what you would ordinarily do.
Lead with your heart, not your mind.
Whatever you've dreamed of doing, put some plans into action that will help you realize them.

Even the name “bee” has such present and direct assocation with the command

Bees

Bees are the symbol of fertility and sexuality. Its honeycomb, a hexagon, is the symbol of the heart and represents the sweetness of life found within our own heart. It is also the symbol of the sun and all its energies.

The bee reminds us to extract the honey of life and to make our lives fertile (productive) while the sun shines. No matter how great the dream is, there is the promise of fulfillment if we pursue our dreams.

If a Bee has shown up in your life, examine your own productivity. Are you doing all you can to make your life more fertile? Are you busy enough? Are you making time to savor the honey of life and not becoming a workaholic?

The Bee is the symbol of accomplishing the impossible.Aerodynamically, its body is too large for its wings and should not be able to fly. Although now we understand how it does fly (high rate of wing movement),the Bee remains a symbol of accomplishing anything you put your mind to.

In Hinduism, the Bee relates to Vishnu, Krishna or Kama, the God of Love. In Egypt, the Bee symbolized royalty. In Greece, it was the symbol of the Eleusinian Mysteries. The Celts associated the Bee with hidden wisdom.

Bee shows us we can accomplish what seems impossible by having dedication and working hard. It asks us to pursue our dreams with incredible focus and fertilize our aspirations. Bee teaches us to cooperate with others who have similar goals so we can learn how to help each other.

Black Panther

The panther symbolizes power and aggressive energy. It possesses grace and swiftness of motion and are also able to be completely still in an instant. Panther can teach you the power of silence when pursuing something that is important to you.

Panther is swift and graceful. This can teach you how to meet deadlines effectively.

Like all the cat totems, panthers have great depth of vision. Each eye is capable of working separately. This teaches focus and wide vision for various life situations.

-Sensitivity and inner vision
-Valor and ferocity
-Personal Power
-Swiftness and graceful motion

The panther animal totem is a very powerful and protective presence. If you have this creature as your totem, you are blessed to have such a fierce and aggressive guardian with you.

The panther is a symbol of courage, valor and power. The panther has also sometimes associated with the sun, and solar vibrancy in some cultures (South American, & Central American).

Individuals with panther totem s are usually people who come into this world with a spiritual knowing - a deeper understanding of spiritual things. These people often are very intuitive, psychic, and many are artistically inclined.

Of all the panthers, the black panther has the greatest mysticism associated with it. It is a symbol of the mother, the dark moon and the power of the night. The black panther encourages us to understand the shadow powers available to us all, to acknowledge these powers and to eliminate our fears of the darkness.

When the black panther totem appears in your life, it is also a symbol of releasing your passions, and starting a new phase of your life. A phase in which you are discovering your desires, and living your dreams.

The panther animal totem asks us these questions:

-What is my Shadow Self trying to tell me?
-Are my passions helping or hindering me at this time?
-Am I still on the right spiritual path for myself?
-Am I supressing latent desires?
-Am I putting others' needs before my own to the point of self-neglect?
-Am I being mindful of my movements - both physical and emotional?
-Am I being defensive? Who or what am I protecting and why?

Fais-moi la tendresse de Ginette Reno

On s’est quitté sans être quitte
Je n’ai pas eu le temps d’y penser
Un peu trop tôt un peu trop vite,
Le temps passé nous est passé
Toi qui connais de moi l’émoi
Des ces instants où tout bascule
Retiens moi encore dans tes bras
Sans passion et sans ridicule
{Refrain}
Je t’ai voulu, tu m’as voulue
Mais le destin n’en voulait pas
Comme ma chanson mal entendue
Malheur à celui qui s’en va J’ai fait ma vie de mon côté
J’ai réussi sans réussir
On ne sait plus par où commencer
Quand on a mille chose à se dire
{Refrain}

What I've Done - Linkin Park

In this farewell
There's no blood
There's no alibi
Cause I've Drawn regret
From the truth
Of thousand lies
So let mercy come
And wash away
What I've done
I'll face myself
To cross out
What I've become
Erase myself
And let go of
What I've done
Put to rest
What you thought of me
While I clean this slate
With the hands
Of uncertainty
So let mercy come
And wash away
What I've done
I'll face myself
To cross out
What I've become
Erase myself
And let go of
What I've done
For what I've done
I'll starter again
And what ever thing
May come
Today this ends
I'm forgiving
What I've done
I'll face myself
To cross out
What I've become
Erase myself
And let go of
What I've done
What I've done
Forgiving what I've done

Dragonfly

The power of Dragonfly lies in its ability to see around things by looking from different angles. Using its ability to transform colors and lights by reflecting and refracting them, Dragonfly shows us that life, like light, can bend, shift, and adapt in various ways, making life's appearance never be what it appears to be. Dragonfly's magic shows us to see through life's illusions and find our true vision. It calls us to transform within our lives and reminds us to feel deeply so we will have the compassion necessary to help ourselves and others.

Rusted from the Rain - Billy Talent

Stumble through the wreckage, rusted from the rain
There's nothing left to salvage, no one left to blame
Among the broken mirrors, I don't look the same
I'm rusted from the rain,
I'm rusted from the rain

Dissect me till my blood runs down into the drain
My bitter heart is pumping oil into my veins
I'm nothing but a tin man, don't feel any pain
I don't feel any pain,
I don't feel any pain,
I'm rusted from the rain
Go on...crush me like a flower, rusted from the rain
C'mon...Strip me of my powers, beat me with your chains
And if...I'm the king of cowards you're the queen of pain
I'm rusted from the rain,
I'm rusted from the rain
You hung me like a picture, now I'm just a frame
I used to be your lap dog, now I'm just a stray
Shackled in a graveyard, left here to decay,
Left here to decay, left here to decay,
I'm rusted from the rain
Go on...crush me like a flower, rusted from the rain
C'mon...Strip me of my powers, beat me with your chains
And if...I'm the king of cowards you're the queen of pain
I'm rusted from the rain,
I'm rusted from the rain,
I'm rusted from the Rain
Go on...crush me like a flower, rusted from the rain
C'mon...Strip me of my powers, beat me with your chains
And if...I'm the king of cowards you're the queen of pain I'm rusted from the rain,
I'm rusted from the rain

Go on...crush me like a flower, rusted from the rain
C'mon...Strip me of my powers, beat me with your chains
And if...I'm the king of cowards you're the queen of pain I'm rusted from the rain,
I'm rusted from the rain, oh the sun will shine again,
I'm rusted from the rain, I'm rusted from the rain,
Oh the sun will shine again, I'm rusted from the rain

It's supposed to be easy.
Everything is supposed to be easy.
Everything is easy.
You live in a dream world.
You're surrounded by illusions.
And the illusions change when you change your thinking!
Tell yourself it's easy.
Tell yourself often.
Make it a mantra.
Eat, sleep, and breathe it.
And your life shall be transformed.

Fairy Tale

A fairy tale is a fictional story that may feature folkloric characters such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, giants, and talking animals, and usually enchantments, often involving a far-fetched sequence of events. In modern-day parlance, the term is also used to describe something blessed with princesses, as in "fairy tale ending" (a happy ending) or "fairy tale romance", though not all fairy tales end happily. Colloquially, a "fairy tale" or "fairy story" can also mean any far-fetched story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_tale

Ways of Seeing

Despite the fact that it was first published in 1972, this essential book on the psychological and social implications of visual imagery, is just as relevant now as it was then. Over six essays, Berger encourages the reader to see the world with new eyes to allow greater understanding of the images around them. He shows how the viewer can go beyond the surface of paintings, photographs and other images to see how even the tiniest details are part of the overall reading and perception of that image. (Kirkus UK) --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

"Seeing comes before words. The child looks and recognizes before it can speak.""But there is also another sense in which seeing comes before words. It is seeing which establishes our place in the surrounding world; we explain that world with words, but word can never undo the fact that we are surrounded by it. The relation between what we see and what we know is never settled."John Berger's "Ways of Seeing" is one of the most stimulating and the most influential books on art in any language. First published in 1972, it was based on the BBC television series about which the "London Sunday Times" critic commented: "This is an eye-opener in more ways than one: by concentrating on how we look at paintings ...he will almost certainly change the way you look at pictures." By now he has.

The proverbial "tree in the forest"

"On cold days a man can see his breath, on a hot day he can't. On both occasions, the man breathes." - White Teeth, Zadie Smith

This quote struck me as particularly intriguing. In the context of the book, they are referring to Allah, Jesus, Buddha, a higher being. However, I find it particulary interesting when placed next to the proverbial "tree in the forest". If a tree falls in a lonely forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Is sound only a sound if someone hears it? Apart from the books original higher-being reference, it is an intriguing thought. Do our actions always have an effect, regardless of whether they immediately touch, or are seen, perceived by anyone else? In cases of unseen acts, does it circle back around to karma?

In the sense of the books meaning, it is basically stating that regardless of whether you are witnessed directly, your actions are observerd by a higher being and will come upon you at judgement day. Can we apply this thought separate from the reference to God or other higher beings? Will all of our actions act as a drop in the ocean, eventually creating a wave, eventually creating a tidal wave, eventually creating a tsunami? Do we assume that things we do (obviously aside from mundane, daily tasks) can go unnoticed? Are we but a drop in the ocean? And if we are, wouldn't the ocean be less without that drop?

Although we can't see our breath on a hot day, it is still there keeping us alive. Perhaps things that are not tangible, not physically visible, still have an enormous affect on the world, a lasting consequence - good or bad, maintain the flow of life. Perhaps we are not just a tiny drop in the ocean but a piece of a greater web, a web that keeps things in balance, in check. When a tree falls in a forest, regardless of whether it makes a sound (perception) or the sound is heard, it has a greater affect on the landscape, the wildlife, everything from the insects to the air we breath. Maybe it isn't the breath, or the falling of the tree but the ripple that that produces...

Looking at the ceiling

Looking at the ceiling
A ceiling
But which ceiling?
The illusion of a ceiling
There is no roof
There is no house
There is no fence
There is no leather nor rock
My heart is naked
My heart is shy
My heart is pink
My heart is a kid
So, jumping
Closed eyes
No parachute
Jumping
When we like
Jumping
When we are
Jumping
When we lose our references
Jumping is scary
Please, Please,
Bring fences around me
Put ceilings around me
Put a coat on my heart
Make-up on my face
Lies to mask it
Cause
I am
Affraid of looking in
Looking out
Locking out
Locking in
Affraid of loosing it
Getting it
Affraid of being it
Being
Being
Affraid of liking you
Liking
Affraid of love
Loving
Loving myself,
In you...

Bring me to the moon

When the sun is only outside
The flowers do not wait for you
The birds sing without you
The lovers do not see you
The stranger doesn't call you
The plane pass by
The wind blows alone
It is cloudy inside today
Bring me to the moon.

Then...

Your shinny eyes
Your spunky hair
Your contagious laugh
Your artsy nature
The way you look at me
The way you let me be
You flew me to the moon...

Thank you

Dispassion

(n.) Freedom from passion; an undisturbed state; or bias; calm; impartial; apathy.

The attainment of that state of consciousness where balance is seen, and neither pleasure or pain dominate. Through dispassion, the emotional nature is rendered immune from the appeal of the senses and desire fails to deter the soul from its rightful task. Dispassion frees one from bias and allows one a calm, impartial attitude.
